Hello! I'm Daniel Barco, a PhD candidate at the University of Zurich. I write code mostly in Python .
I've worked as a Data Scientist at RaiseNow a softeware startup as well as for the International Comittee of the Red Cross.
My goal is to use data science for social good . This is why I have developed a deep learning algorithm to facility the detection of Malaria on blood smears and am currently research how to reduce radiation exposure in medical imaging.
Fluent in English, German, Spanish, and French, I bring a global perspective to my work.
