In collaboration, the Joller group and the Krauthammer group reveal the regulatory role of tissue-specific Tregs in autoimmune diseases

See Rakebrandt et al., Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A

The Joller and Krauthammer groups highlight the critical role of tissue-resident regulatory T cells (Tregs) in controlling autoimmunity. Their study demonstrates how Tregs adapt to specific tissues and environments to maintain immune balance, offering new insights into therapeutic strategies targeting these cells for autoimmune conditions like multiple sclerosis and type 1 diabetes.
