We’re pleased to announce the launch of the seminar series of the recently established Competence Center for Human Immunology (CHI) of UZH, which aims to facilitate interdisciplinary research and education in the broader field of human immunology. The CHI Seminars aim to examine a topic from different perspectives by combining talks from immunologists and other disciplines that share a core concept.

The first seminar will take place on

Wednesday, 27 November 2024, 16:15 to 18:00, in Y13-M-12, Irchel Campus, UZH.
Theme: “Status and health: from immunity to society”

Prof. Onur Boyman (Founding Director, Center for Human Immunology) will present on “Immunity and autoimmunity”. (more info)

Prof. Michael Shanahan (Co-Director, Institute of Sociology; Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development) will present on “Socioeconomic status and the regulation of the genome”. (more info) 

The talks will be followed by a networking apero.
